FAQ
How to apply?
Applying to AZ SkillCare starts with completing the online application and identifying the program or class you are interested in. Before submitting, review the program information so you understand the training format, tuition, schedule, and any course-specific requirements. After your application is received, AZ SkillCare reviews the information you submitted and determines the appropriate next step based on the program and available class dates. If additional information is needed, a team member will contact you. Submitting an application begins the process; it does not by itself mean that your seat has been confirmed. You can review the full application process under How to Apply and explore available training through Programs before submitting.
How soon will I be contacted after applying?
AZ SkillCare reviews submitted applications before providing enrollment or scheduling instructions. The amount of time needed can vary depending on the program you selected, class availability, whether your application contains all required information, and how close the next class date is. If something is missing or clarification is needed, AZ SkillCare may contact you before enrollment can move forward. Applicants should make sure the phone number and email address submitted on the application are accurate and should watch for communications from AZ SkillCare. If you have a time-sensitive question or need to provide additional information, use Request Information rather than submitting a duplicate application.
Where is AZ SkillCare located?
AZ SkillCare is located at 20101 Peachland Blvd, Unit 208, Port Charlotte, Florida 33954. This is the location used for AZ SkillCare’s in-person training and student services as applicable to the scheduled course. Because not every service or learning activity necessarily follows the same format, students should review the individual program page to confirm whether their training is in person, online, or uses another approved format. Prospective students who would like to see the location or speak with AZ SkillCare before enrolling can use the Visit information to learn how to arrange a visit.
What programs does AZ SkillCare offer?
AZ SkillCare provides practical healthcare education, exam preparation, and career-focused training designed for people entering or advancing in healthcare-support roles. Current and developing offerings include CNA Exam Preparation, CPR/BLS, Med Tech Medication Assistance Training, EKG Tech Prep, and English at Work. Each program serves a different purpose: some prepare students for an examination or credentialing pathway, while others provide skills training, continuing education, or workplace preparation. Program availability and schedules may change, so students should review the individual program page for the most current description, training hours, tuition, format, and enrollment information.
How much does training cost?
Do you offer payment plans?
AZ SkillCare may provide more than one way to satisfy tuition, depending on the program and the payment arrangement approved for that enrollment. Options may include paying the balance in full, making an approved deposit followed by installments, using an approved third-party payer, or another arrangement authorized by AZ SkillCare. Payment Options explains how a student can pay AZ SkillCare and provides access to the applicable payment process. Financial Aid is different: it explains third-party financing or pay-over-time services that may be available when they are actually offered during checkout. Availability and approval of a third-party service are determined by that provider. Students who already have an amount due can use Make a Payment for the actual payment transaction.
How long does AZ SkillCare training take?
Training length varies depending on the program, the amount of instruction required, and whether the course includes hands-on skills practice. Some AZ SkillCare courses can be completed in a single day, while others are scheduled across multiple class sessions.
For example, Medication Assistance (Med Tech) Training is a 6-hour course, while CNA Exam Preparation is a more extensive 32-hour preparation program. CPR/BLS training is also designed as a shorter course that can generally be completed in one training session. Other programs, such as EKG Tech Prep and English at Work, may follow different schedules based on the course structure and upcoming class availability.
The total time a student spends in training may also depend on attendance, required skills practice, assessments, and whether any missed instructional time must be completed before the course requirements are satisfied.
Each program page identifies the current training hours, delivery format, course expectations, and other scheduling details so students can understand the commitment before enrolling. Students should review the program they are interested in and check Upcoming Classes for available dates and times.
When will I be informed of my admissions decision
The notification period for the admission decision will be approximately March 1 through early April for students that applied by the regular deadline. There may be cases, however, where the decision will come earlier or take longer. We send decision letters out at different times, depending on each program’s review schedule and when required materials for the student’s file are received. There is no significance attached to receiving your notification earlier or later than other students that have applied.
