Cookie Notice
Effective Date: September 27, 2026
Last Updated: September 27, 2026
This Cookie Notice explains how AZ SkillCare uses cookies and similar technologies on our website. It covers Google Analytics, our cookie banner, first- and third-party cookies, and technologies used by embedded or external services. It also explains the choices available to you and how you can manage cookies through your browser and other privacy controls.
How AZ SkillCare Uses Cookies and Similar Technologies
AZ SkillCare LLC (“AZ SkillCare,” “AZSC,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) uses cookies and similar technologies on our website to operate essential features, remember certain choices, support forms and online services, protect the website, and understand how visitors use our pages. AZ SkillCare also uses Google Analytics to measure website traffic and visitor interaction so that we can improve our content, navigation, performance, and overall user experience.
Our website also displays a cookie banner. The banner is part of our privacy process and is intended to inform visitors that cookies or similar technologies may be used and, where the banner provides choices, to allow visitors to make the preferences available through that tool.
This Notice should be read together with the AZ SkillCare Privacy & Data Protection Policy, which explains more broadly how AZ SkillCare collects, uses, protects, and shares personal information.
AZ SkillCare currently provides its educational and training services to adults age 18 and older.
1. What Cookies and Similar Technologies Are
A cookie is a small text file that a website or online service stores on your browser or device. A cookie can help a website recognize a browser, remember information from one page to another, maintain a secure session, remember preferences, measure how a site is being used, or support other features that depend on information being retained during or between visits.
Cookies are only one type of website technology. Websites may also use pixels, tags, web beacons, local browser storage, embedded scripts, software development tools, and similar technologies. Because these technologies can serve related purposes, this Notice generally refers to them together as “cookies” or “similar technologies.”
A cookie does not automatically tell AZ SkillCare who you are by name. However, information collected through cookies or similar technologies can sometimes be associated with other information when a visitor signs into an account, submits a form, registers for a class, makes a payment, or otherwise identifies themselves.
2. First-Party, Third-Party, Session, and Persistent Cookies
A first-party cookie is placed through the website you are visiting. On the AZ SkillCare website, first-party cookies may be used for functions such as maintaining website preferences, supporting forms, remembering privacy choices, helping with security, or supporting WordPress and other website functions.
A third-party cookie is created by a service other than AZ SkillCare. Third-party services may provide analytics, payment processing, embedded media, social media functionality, security, scheduling, forms, learning systems, or other online services. When those services are used on or through the AZ SkillCare website, they may place or read their own cookies according to their own privacy practices.
Some cookies are session cookies. These generally remain only for the current browsing session and normally expire when the browser is closed. They may be used to maintain a login or form session, support security, or keep a website function working while a visitor moves between pages.
Other cookies are persistent cookies. These remain on a device for a defined period or until they are deleted. Persistent cookies may remember preferences, recognize a returning browser, retain a cookie-banner choice, or support analytics over time.
The exact lifespan of a cookie depends on the service that created it and the purpose for which it is used.
3. The AZ SkillCare Cookie Banner
AZ SkillCare displays a cookie banner on the website. The banner provides notice that the site uses cookies or similar technologies. Where the banner presents consent or preference choices, visitors may use those controls to make the selections that are available through the banner.
A website may need to store a small preference cookie or similar browser record so that it can remember that you have already responded to the cookie banner. Without that record, the website may be unable to remember your selection and may display the banner again.
Cookie-banner choices generally apply to the browser and device on which the choice was made. If you clear your browser cookies, use another browser, change devices, browse privately, or otherwise remove stored preferences, you may need to make your cookie selection again.
The banner does not necessarily control every technology operated by an independent third party after you leave the AZ SkillCare website. For example, if you follow a link to a payment provider, social media platform, certification organization, or another external website, that provider’s own cookie and privacy controls apply.
AZ SkillCare may update its cookie banner or available preference controls as our website technology, vendors, or legal requirements change.
4. Strictly Necessary and Security Cookies
Some cookies are necessary for a website or requested service to operate correctly. They may be used to maintain secure sessions, support account authentication, protect forms, remember a privacy preference, prevent fraudulent or abusive activity, route website traffic correctly, or provide another feature that a visitor has requested.
These cookies are different from analytics or advertising cookies because their primary purpose is to make the website or a requested function work. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may cause some parts of the website, student portal, forms, payment process, login process, or other interactive features to stop working properly.
The AZ SkillCare website is built on WordPress and uses online forms and other integrated services. Those technologies may require functional or security-related cookies for particular features.
5. Functional and Preference Cookies
Functional or preference cookies help a website remember choices so that visitors do not have to make the same selections repeatedly. Depending on the feature involved, they may remember display settings, language or interface preferences, previously selected options, form-related information, or other choices intended to improve usability.
A preference cookie may also be used to remember a visitor’s cookie-banner selection. These cookies are intended to make the website easier to use rather than to determine a student’s academic status, eligibility, or other significant decision.
If functional cookies are blocked, the public website may still be available, but some convenience features may not work as expected.
6. Google Analytics and Analytics Cookies
AZ SkillCare uses Google Analytics to understand how visitors find and use the AZ SkillCare website. Google Analytics is a web analytics service provided by Google. It uses cookies and similar technologies to generate information about website activity and visitor interaction.
Analytics information can help AZ SkillCare understand matters such as which pages receive the most visits, how visitors move from one page to another, which pages or links are useful, how visitors arrived at the website, what types of browsers or devices are being used, whether visitors encounter technical or navigation problems, and how website content or performance can be improved.
Depending on Google Analytics configuration and the visitor’s device or browser, analytics processing may involve information such as page views, events or interactions, session information, referring websites or search sources, browser and device characteristics, approximate geographic information, and other technical information associated with use of the website. Google processes analytics information according to its own terms, privacy documentation, and data-processing practices.
AZ SkillCare uses Google Analytics for website measurement and improvement. Analytics information is not used by AZ SkillCare as a substitute for student records, is not used to determine whether a person passes a course or receives a certificate, and is not intended to be used as the sole basis for a significant enrollment or academic decision.
Visitors who do not want Google Analytics to measure their activity may use available cookie-banner choices, browser privacy settings, or Google’s own analytics opt-out tools where those options apply. Blocking analytics cookies may reduce the information AZ SkillCare receives about website usage, but it should not by itself prevent access to ordinary public website content.
Google Analytics is a third-party service. Google’s own privacy documentation explains how Google processes data from websites and applications that use its services.
7. Performance and Website Improvement
Analytics and performance technologies help AZ SkillCare understand whether the website is functioning as intended. Information about page loading, navigation patterns, page visits, device and browser characteristics, errors, and general website interaction can help us identify broken experiences, improve content placement, simplify navigation, and determine whether important information is easy to find.
Performance information is generally reviewed for website administration, quality improvement, and communications planning. AZ SkillCare may use aggregated or summarized information to understand trends without needing to identify an individual visitor.
8. Forms, Student Services, and Account Functions
AZ SkillCare uses website forms and online systems for activities such as requests for information, applications, registration, payments, student services, and other communications. Cookies or similar technologies may be used to maintain a form session, protect a form from abuse, preserve information while a visitor completes multiple steps, authenticate a user, or ensure that a submission is associated with the correct browser session.
Information that a visitor intentionally types into an AZ SkillCare form is not the same thing as cookie data. Information submitted through a form is handled according to the purpose of the form and the AZ SkillCare Privacy & Data Protection Policy.
Some forms or account functions may be provided or supported by third-party technology providers. Those services may use their own necessary, security, or functional cookies to deliver the service.
9. Payments and Financial-Service Cookies
AZ SkillCare may use third-party payment processors or financial-service providers to accept payments or make payment options available. Payment providers may use cookies or similar technologies for authentication, transaction processing, fraud prevention, security, checkout continuity, and other functions required to provide their services.
When a visitor is redirected to, opens, or interacts with a third-party payment or financing service, that provider’s own privacy policy, cookie practices, and terms may apply. AZ SkillCare does not control every cookie used by an independent payment or financing provider.
Cookies used by payment services do not change AZ SkillCare’s policy that student records, applications, payment information, and private personal communications are not sold by AZ SkillCare.
10. Embedded Content, Video, and Social Media
AZ SkillCare may display, link to, or embed content from third-party platforms. Examples may include video services, maps, social media content, scheduling tools, or other external services.
Embedded content can behave as though the visitor went directly to the third party’s website. The third party may receive technical information, place cookies, recognize a logged-in account, or measure interaction with the embedded content according to its own policies.
Similarly, when a visitor follows an AZ SkillCare link to a social media platform such as Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, TikTok, or another service, that platform may collect information independently of AZ SkillCare. If the visitor is already signed into the platform, the platform may be able to associate the interaction with that account.
AZ SkillCare does not control the cookies, account settings, or tracking practices of independent social media and embedded-content providers.
11. Marketing, Advertising, and Campaign Measurement
AZ SkillCare may use digital marketing to inform prospective students and the community about programs, enrollment opportunities, events, or services. Some advertising or campaign-measurement services can use cookies, pixels, tags, or similar technologies to determine whether an advertisement or campaign led a visitor to the website and to measure the effectiveness of outreach.
The presence of this section does not mean that every type of advertising or remarketing technology is currently active on the AZ SkillCare website. Technologies can change as AZ SkillCare changes vendors or marketing activities. When nonessential advertising or tracking technologies are used and a consent or preference choice is required or made available, AZ SkillCare may present that choice through the cookie banner or another appropriate privacy control.
AZ SkillCare does not use cookies to sell student records, applications, payment information, or private student communications.
12. Managing or Deleting Cookies
Visitors can manage cookies in several ways. The AZ SkillCare cookie banner should be used for the choices it makes available. Browsers also provide privacy settings that may allow a visitor to review stored cookies, delete them, block particular websites from storing them, block third-party cookies, or refuse cookies more broadly.
Deleting cookies can remove stored preferences, including a previous cookie-banner choice. Blocking all cookies may prevent parts of the website from functioning properly, particularly functions involving authentication, forms, payments, security, or saved preferences.
A browser’s private or incognito mode may also limit how long some browser information is retained, but private browsing does not necessarily prevent all website analytics or third-party processing.
Google also provides controls relating to Google Analytics. Visitors may use Google’s available analytics opt-out browser tools where supported.
13. Browser Privacy Signals
Some browsers or extensions can send privacy signals such as “Do Not Track” or Global Privacy Control. Browser and industry standards for these signals continue to evolve, and different websites and service providers may respond to them differently.
AZ SkillCare does not represent that every browser privacy signal automatically controls every cookie or third-party service used by the website. Visitors should use the AZ SkillCare cookie banner, available browser controls, and applicable third-party privacy settings to manage their choices.
If AZ SkillCare adopts technology that automatically recognizes additional legally required privacy signals, this Notice may be updated to explain that functionality.
14. Cookie Information and Personal Information
Technical data collected through cookies can include information such as IP address or network information, browser type, device characteristics, operating system, referring page, pages visited, time and date of access, session information, website interactions, and approximate location derived from technical information.
Some of this information may not identify a person by itself. In some circumstances, however, technical or cookie information can be associated with other information. When cookie or analytics information constitutes personal information or is combined with personal information, AZ SkillCare handles it according to the Privacy & Data Protection Policy and applicable requirements.
15. Third-Party Services and Links
The AZ SkillCare website may link to or use services operated by companies and organizations that AZ SkillCare does not own or control. These may include Google Analytics, payment processors, financial-service providers, social media platforms, video providers, scheduling systems, testing or certification organizations, and other educational or business services.
A visitor who leaves the AZ SkillCare website or interacts directly with an independent third-party service becomes subject to that provider’s privacy and cookie practices. AZ SkillCare encourages visitors to review the privacy and cookie information provided by services they choose to use.
16. Security
Cookies and similar technologies can support website security by helping maintain authenticated sessions, protect forms, detect unusual activity, prevent abuse, and support fraud monitoring.
AZ SkillCare uses reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the systems and information involved. No internet-based system can guarantee absolute security, and cookies should never be treated as a substitute for appropriate account security.
Visitors should protect their passwords and devices and should not share authentication credentials with others.
17. Changes to This Cookie Notice
AZ SkillCare’s website will continue to change as programs, forms, analytics, payment services, marketing tools, learning systems, and other technologies are added, removed, or updated. Cookies used by third-party services can also change without AZ SkillCare controlling the provider’s entire technology.
AZ SkillCare may therefore update this Cookie Notice when our website, cookie banner, Google Analytics configuration, vendors, legal requirements, or privacy practices materially change.
The Last Updated date at the top of this page identifies the current version.
